Body

Your body carries your story — pregnancies, weight loss journeys, years of hard work — and sometimes that story leaves behind changes that diet and exercise simply cannot address. Many patients come to Dr. Apesos not for vanity, but for closure: a way to finally feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Whether your goal is to smooth stubborn contours, tighten loose skin after significant weight loss, or restore the silhouette you once had, there is a path forward. Procedures can also be thoughtfully combined to address multiple areas in a single surgery, minimizing downtime and maximizing results.

Calf Implant

Calf Implants

For those who have done the work—but still feel out of proportion—this is where effort is no longer the issue, but balance is. Align your physique with the strength you’ve built.

You work hard at the gym, but due to genetics, you still may not be able to achieve the proportionate muscular legs that you desire. Calf implants enhance lower leg definition for patients seeking improved muscular appearance and symmetry. Implants are carefully selected and positioned for natural-looking results.

Improves:

  • Lower leg shape and proportion
  • Muscle definition and contour
  • Balance between the upper and lower body
  • A more athletic, sculpted look
Weight loss

Surgery after Weight Loss

You’ve done the hardest part—changing your life. Body contouring completes the transformation, refining what weight loss alone cannot.

GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy offer new hope for many who have struggled with excess weight for years. Whether you lost weight through prescription medications, bariatric surgery, or diet and exercise, many patients are left with excess skin and stubborn pockets of fat. Surgery after major weight loss, known as body contouring, removes excess, sagging skin and stubborn fat deposits, significantly improving body shape and comfort. Common procedures include tummy tucks, arm lifts, breast lifts, and thigh lifts, ideally performed after weight has stabilized for 12-18 months.

Improves:

  • Excess skin and tissue
  • Body contour and definition
  • Overall body proportion
  • A more complete physical transformation

Body Contouring Procedures (Liposuction)

Stubborn fat can persist despite a healthy lifestyle, leading to frustration and low self-esteem. Liposuction is about refining contours and helping your body reflect the effort you already put into caring for it.

Body contouring via liposuction is a surgical procedure designed to sculpt the body by removing deposits of fat resistant to diet and exercise. Liposuction is not a substitute for a weight loss program. Ideal candidates are at or near their optimal BMI. Liposuction may be combined with other procedures, including skin removal, or may be part of a multi-stage surgical journey, such as in a “Mommy Makeover”.

Improves:

  • Stubborn fat deposits
  • Body shape and contour
  • Definition in targeted areas
  • A more sculpted physique
Arm lift

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

After weight loss or with time, the arms don’t always reflect the rest of your body. An arm lift brings them back into balance.

Weight loss and aging can lead to stubborn deposits of fat and excess skin on the upper arms despite a healthy lifestyle. An arm lift removes excess skin and fat, leaving you with smooth, firm arms and improving comfort and confidence. Brachioplasty may involve liposuction alone or may be combined with skin removal.

Improves:

  • Upper arm shape and contour
  • Loose or sagging skin
  • Proportion of the arms to the body
  • Greater comfort in fitted clothing
Thigh lift

Thigh Lift (Thighplasty)

When your efforts have transformed much of your body—but your thighs still don’t reflect that progress—a thigh lift restores balance, proportion, and a more refined silhouette.

If fitness and weight control efforts have not achieved your goals for a body that is firmer, more youthful-looking, and more proportionate to your overall body image, a surgical lift may be right for you. A thigh lift, or thighplasty, reshapes the thighs by reducing excess skin and fat, resulting in smoother skin and better-proportioned contours of the thighs and lower body. In cases with good skin elasticity, liposuction alone may be sufficient.

Improves:

  • Inner and outer thigh contour
  • Excess skin and tissue
  • Leg proportion and tone
  • Comfort and confidence in fitted clothing
Tummy tuck

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Pregnancy, weight changes, and aging can leave behind loose skin and weakened muscles that don’t respond to diet or exercise.

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure to reduce excess fat and skin from the abdomen while tightening weakened abdominal muscles, resulting in a firmer, flatter midsection. Due to the increased risk of venous thrombus events post-operatively (blood clots), Dr. Apesos recommends overnight monitoring in the hospital following the procedure.

Improves:

  • Abdominal contour and firmness
  • Excess skin and laxity
  • Waistline definition
  • A flatter, more defined midsection

Surgical Revision

Did you have plastic surgery, and the results were just not right? Did a plastic surgeon fail to meet your expectations? There is hope. Plastic surgery can be revised and improved. Dr. Apesos knows what is possible with surgical revisions.

Dr. Apesos has decades of experience in revising prior surgical procedures, from minor tweaks to major reconstruction. Due to adhesions, scar tissue, and anatomical changes, secondary surgeries can be highly complex and require the skills and demonstrated competence of a board-certified plastic surgeon. Whether you are looking to address complications, refine outcomes, restore function, or accommodate changing aesthetic goals, we can create a customized plan focused on safety, balance, and realistic expectations.

Improves:

  • Results of prior procedures
  • Peace of mind in your results
